What do horses have to do with our relationship with Jesus?
For me, they have become a beautiful image of our rescue, redemption and reconciliation with our Abba Father.
I rescued my little red horse Scooter from a guy who did not want him anymore. This man had become very frustrated with his little chestnut Arabian. He listed him in the paper "for sale - cheap".
The man who owned Scooter based Scooter's value on his ability to perform.
I used to think that God based my value upon my ability to perform ( I called it self-esteem). When I performed well, I felt acceptable. When I didn't perform well ... well, you know.
Scooter is mine now. I rescued him from the domain of darkness. As we go dancing about the country, people ask me if he is for sale. No. He is not for sale. He is mine. I determine his value and there is not enough money in the world to buy my little red horse.
Who determines your value? It depends upon whose you are. If you belong to Jesus, you are worth His very Life. He said so and He demonstrated so.
Who will you trust? Your own estimation. Or His. He is Life. Only when we live from God can we hope to do anything for God.
I love to share the ways God reveals Himself to me. If you are looking for a unique speaker for an hour, day or longer, I invite you to contact me. Rates are dependent upon location and situation. Please use the contact me page and I will respond promptly.
