Interim Guest Minister at Louisa Presbyterian
Location: Louisa Presbyterian Church ~ 212 Church Avenue, Louisa, VA 23093
I’m delighted to share that I am now serving as Interim Guest Minister at Louisa Presbyterian Church.
This new role feels like a beautiful extension of the work God has already entrusted to me through Beautiful Brokenness Ministries and New Life Horsemanship. Whether I am teaching in a sanctuary, sitting with someone in need of encouragement, or allowing a horse to help illuminate the heart of God, my calling remains the same: to help people encounter the rescuing, redeeming, and reconciling love of Jesus.
I’m grateful to the congregation of Louisa Presbyterian for welcoming me into this season of shared ministry. I look forward to walking alongside them as we listen for God’s direction, care for one another, and explore what it means to live from our new identity in Christ.
I will continue leading the work of Beautiful Brokenness Ministries and New Life Horsemanship while serving the church during this season.

September 24th ~ 27th International Ranch Ministry Conference
Location: Wings of Hope Ranch ~ Doswell, VA
Katy will share 4 sessions at the International Ranch Ministry Conference this year! The Pre-conference Clinic, Safe Horse ~ Safe Human is scheduled for Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00.
Katy and Bridger will share 2 sessions on Saturday. This will be Katy’s first event without Scooter ~ her partner of 25 years. This will also be Bridger’s first event with Katy! A poignant moment.

The International Ranch Ministry Conference was created to connect people who are currently involved in ranch type ministries that bring people groups (children, veterans, special populations, etc.) together to share ideas, wisdom, and fellowship. The Conference is a full weekend event focused on supporting similar ministries and offering education that is rooted in Biblical truths.

Join us on October 10 as we celebrate 16 years of Beautiful Brokenness Ministries® and Scooter’s 29th birthday! Come meet Bridger and Rain, hear from New Life Horsemanship® Academy students, and celebrate the stories of rescue, redemption, and reconciliation God continues to write through this ministry. We would love to share this joyful milestone with you!

Louisa Presbyterian Women’s Retreat How Brokenness Can be Beautiful
Location: Louisa Presbyterian Church ~ 212 Church Avenue ~ Louisa, VA 23093
Join Katy and Scooter (via video) for a powerful day of teaching, conversation, and connection.
Although this is not a live-horse event, horses will provide a powerful central metaphor and includes footage from the day Katy first began working with Scooter in the round pen—a process traditionally called “breaking”. If you have ever felt overwhelmed or confused by life, this will help you process, unpack and gain a new perspective. We will explore what their encounter reveals about fear, trust, communication, and our relationship with Jesus. It will change the way you see Life. I will see you in the round pen!
No horse experience is needed. Lunch and giveaways are included! Registration is required so we can have enough lunch! Please register by October 12th.
